1. PREAMBLE
The conscience in a person’s heart wants to provide wise guidance for life and then expects the person to act accordingly. Furthermore, the conscience wants to give the person authentic wise visions and dreams to guide them towards good outcomes, but they only come true, when the person dares to believe that this guidance is real and correct, and that implementing the visions and dreams is possible. They then require practical action to achieve those good results. This saying expresses it beautifully:
”NOTHING SPLENDID HAS EVER BEEN ACHIEVED EXCEPT BY THOSE WHO DARED BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING INSIDE OF THEM WAS SUPERIOR TO CIRCUMSTANCE.”
I have dared to test this principle in practice in my real life over decades and have experienced it to be true. I have achieved numerous splendid results both in my work life and private life. All my authentic visions from my pure conscience have come true.
Wisdom sayings become wisdom flowers when a person’s conscience reacts to them with a truly good feeling deep in their heart, as an important confirmation of their authenticity and the correct guidance for a given current situation or direction for the future.
Everyone can achieve great results and even their own conscience’s genuine visions and dreams in their life by using wisdom flowers as helpful aids. This is why I wrote my in-depth life story about my experiences from childhood until senior age for others to read about how to achieve great results with the help of wisdom flowers.
I got my first authentic dream from my conscience as a child, and it stayed within me throughout my childhood, adolescence, and adulthood. It came true because I believed in it to be true and when I had worked towards it following my conscience’s guidance. I was then 34 years old, and it made me really happy. I will explain it in detail later.
Every person has their own visions and dreams about what they themselves want to achieve in life:
- They can be anything desirable in your heart in both your private as well as in your work life, which you wish to come true either in your near future or in your more distant future.
- Visions and dreams can be words in your thoughts and heart that feel good and additionally good pictures or video clips in your thinking. You can actually see them in your mind as if their were reality that you want to achieve.
- Your conscience testifies about them and confirms them with good feelings. Then, it guides and helps you to achieve them, if only you believe them to become possible and you follow this guidance and take action also in the case that your circumstances are against you.
- But if you want to achieve self-made inauthentic ‘visions and dreams’ that are either selfish or not necessarily the best for you then your conscience tries to lead you in a better direction.
- The dreams that a person has while sleeping have nothing to do with the authentic dreams of the conscience, and they should not be followed.
”A PURE CONSCIENCE’S GENUINE VISION IS CERTAIN TO COME TRUE WHEN YOU FOLLOW YOUR INTERNAL COMPASS AND CLOCK’S GUIDANCE.”
Hence, I used my experience in preparing this document in order to offer the reader, the possibility to understand the significance of conscience’s authentic visions and dreams and how to achieve them.
2. INTRODUCTION
Implementation of my Visions and Dreams
This writing shares my experiences over decades during my international career as I made decisions using wisdom sayings and my conscience, which I call “Wisdom Flowers”. They have helped me to implement all my visions and dreams in both my professional and private life.
I first moved from Vammala, Finland to Munich, Germany, and then to Bandung, Indonesia, and from there I eventually ended up in Brisbane, Australia, while following my conscience’s guidance. This has given me a unique understanding of the abilities of the conscience to guide and assist a person’s life through its challenges and successes. This may of course be new to the reader, but read it with an open mind, for these stories are not theory but tested real-life experiences.
I want to share my experiences with the readers of this writing, hoping that others might benefit from this natural conscience’s wisdom guidance when implementing their visions and dreams.
Wisdom flowers are wisdom from the conscience, or heart, appropriately and timely, helping any person to make decisions in their life and to provide direction for the future. They use wisdom sayings as an aid, because a person can read them to clearly understand the necessary guidance.
I have collected many good wisdom sayings during my life, and there are many of them in this writing. I will tell how I have used them in different situations.
Wisdom sayings become wisdom flowers when a person’s conscience reacts to them with a truly good feeling deep in their heart, as an important confirmation of their authenticity and the correct guidance for a given current situation or direction for the future.
I write in detail about how these wisdom flowers have functioned in my work and private life. It has often started with preparations to face challenges and then led to overcoming them and achieving real-life successes. Conscience has guided me by communicating wisdom, decisions, and direction through wisdom sayings and good feelings to help my career and private life achieve positive results.
In addition, I will also clarify how the so-called conscience’s ”internal compass and clock” wants to guide a person primarily in their decisions to help them succeed. It leads their experiences, reason, and ideas to implement in practice wise decisions in the right direction and at the right time. It operates naturally in a person’s purified conscience and also helps to avoid problems according to this saying:
”WITH THE HELP OF YOUR PURE CONSCIENCE’S WISDOM, THE GREATEST TROUBLES THAT YOU HAVE TO FACE WILL NEVER COME!”
Hence, a purified conscience also provides authentic visions and dreams and clearly helps with its internal compass and clock regarding what to do and when, in order for them to come true. I will tell about this starting from my childhood’s wonderful dream.
3. CHILDHOOD
My Childhood’s Dream
As a child, when I was around 7 years old in Vammala, Finland, I dreamed about a warm country with its beautiful beaches where I could drive with my four-wheel drive Jeep. I had video clips in my mind of me driving and smiling on a beautiful beach. They felt so real.
I did not know then that due to my good behavior and conscience’s wisdom guidance and diligence this saying would work in my life:
”MY AUTHENTIC VISIONS AND DREAMS WILL COME TRUE OTHERWISE MY PURE CONSCIENCE WOULD NOT GIVE THEM TO ME.”
This childhood’s dream became true after many years in my young adulthood when I moved via Munich, Bavaria and Bandung, West Java to Brisbane, Queensland, Australia as guided by my conscience’s internal compass and clock. So now, as an adult, I can drive my Jeep on the beautiful sandy beaches of Australia and clearly remember the vision from my childhood, which became true. Here is a picture of my first Jeep that I bought in Australia and two beach pictures from Moreton Island.
I explain more about this later.
3. TEENAGE YEARS
I Learned to do the Right Thing
During my teensge years, my dream of a beautiful warm country continued in my heart and people spoke English there. It felt so real and I rejoiced about it.
Already in my teens, I also wondered when I did right and when my conscience felt good, things worked out better. Later, when I was older, I thought that it was like I had understood this wisdom saying’s message:
”YOU HAVE GUARATEED SUCCESS WHEN YOU DO THE RIGHT THING.”
In addition, I got used to continue on my way accoding to this guidance:
”I HAVE DONE THE RIGHT THING AND IF I CONTINUE ON THIS TRACK I CAN ACHIEVE MY OBJECTIVE.”
This has helped me to succeed in life.
In the Vammala Highschool, I was diligent during my last year in order to improve my results and it is clear that:
”THE WAY TO SUCCESS IS ALWAYS UNDER CONSTRUCTION.”
I have kept this wisdom in my mind during all my career and I have continually learnt new things in my work- and private life and this has also helped me to succeed.
I graduated from the Vammala Highschool in 1975.
4. ADULTHOOD
My Conscience’s Wisdom Way
As an adult, my dream of the English-speaking country of my childhood and youth with its beautiful sandy beaches continued. Additionally, in that dream, I was now driving a Golden Eagle Jeep that I had seen in a photograph. It felt really good inside me and I trusted this wisdom:
“NEVER GIVE UP ON YOUR DREAM JUST BECAUSE OF THE TIME, IT WILL TAKE TO ACCOMPLISH. THE TIME WILL PASS ANYWAY.”
”WHERE YOU ARE HEADED IS MORE IMPORTANT THAN HOW FAST YOU ARE GOING.”
And that’s how it turned out. This guidance was true, my dream came true, just like all my other dreams. I had to be patient, for I had time:
”WE HAVE ENOUGH TIME, IF WE JUST USE IT ARIGHT, AS GUIDED BY THE INTERNAL COMPASS AND CLOCK.”
I have never run out of time in big and important matters when I made decisions guided by my conscience.
My Conscience’s Wisdom Way
As an adult, my behavior improved and the purification of my conscience continued to progress as I followed the instructions explained in the flowerslide “Purification of Conscience” above and allowed wise decisions to lead the actions of my experiences, reasoning, and ideas. This began to happen in my real life gradually and naturally. I realized that my conscience had indeed been waiting in the background for its opportunity to take precedence, guiding me by communicating good decisions and the right direction for my life with the help of the wisdom flowers. I accepted this principle at a young age:
“GIVE YOUR CONSCIENCE THE OPPORTUNITY TO LEAD YOU AS THE PRIORITY TO COMMUNICATE TO YOURSELF THROUGH WISDOM SAYINGS.”
Conscience wants to guide a person trustfully as the priority, rather than just being in the background bothering them when they have done something wrong. It wants to help a person make the right decisions and steer them in the right direction at the right time in life.
Challenges
I started to plan my near future using my good behavior and purified conscience, trusting in this saying: “If your heart knows it is right, then you know that you can achieve it.” and additionally:
”MY FUTURE BELONGS TO ME, BECAUSE I BELIEVE IN THE BEAUTY OF MY VISIONS AND DREAMS, AND I MAKE THEM REALITY.”
I took the time to decide which would be the right field for my future according to my heart’s guidance. Contemplating many possibilities, I then chose the electrical studies at a technical college and the improvement of my language skills. I knew in my heart that these were right for my future. They indeed turned out to be very significant decisions in my future and helped me, for example, to get a job as an export sales engineer at Siemens in Munich, of which I did not yet know anything at that time.
The wisdom in my heart had clear thoughts towards my future, for I had this promise: “You will receive guidance for every situation from the pure conscience’s wisdom as needed, but only if you want it.”
So, I wanted to become a graduated electrical engineer and later also gain experience abroad in an English-speaking country of my childhood’s dream.
Successes
I applied for a study place and got my hoped-for spot and became a graduated electrical engineer, but the overseas experience in an English-speaking country felt like too difficult an opportunity for me. However, I still wanted to keep connections with foreign tourists and speak with them in English and German, as my heart guided me:
”DO YOUR BEST OUT OF THE WAY THINGS TURNED OUT.”
It felt good and my practical language skills improved.
I had wanted to find a girlfriend for a long time, and to my surprise, it also happened unexpectedly and uniquely. I met a cheerful Baeyoung, a Korean nurse, somehow by chance at the Ellivuori Hotel, who was in Vammala on vacation with a girl I knew from high school. I had planned to stay home that night, but my conscience was restless, so I went to Ellivuori.
Love developed in a few weeks and I marveled at my happiness: “Only a pure heart can perceive the right, sustainable, and healthy way forward in life.” We are still happily together.
Then something surprising happened, as one day I saw an announcement in the morning newspaper about the opportunity to attend a German language course in Cologne. I felt that:
”I AM GUIDED BY MY INTERNAL COMPASS AND CLOCK.”
I applied for a place in that course by working hard on my application in German, and the interview went well, as I had spoken German many times with tourists. My German language skills were quite fluent.
This place suited me well also because Baeyoung lived in Zurich, and I could travel to him from Cologne by train. I was excited about this opportunity. I trusted this encouragement in my heart with enthusiasm:
”GO FORWARD AND EVERYTHING WILL FALL INTO PLACE.”
In Finland, I had the opportunity for a good engineer’s position at Finnmirror Oy in Vammala. My reason guided me clearly in this direction. After all, I had made improvements to the machinery during summer jobs and helped them at the furniture trade fair and the machinery trade fair in Germany, and assisted when a German expert came to install one of the world’s fastest grinding machines at the factory.
I later modified the operation of the grinding machine so that the diamond blades cannot be damaged due to a possible mistake by the machine operator. My coworkers were surprised that I was able to do this.
One day during my summer job, when I accidentally went to Finnmirror’s shipping warehouse, I wondered how it could be improved by changing the location of the shelves and increasing their number. I planned that it would provide 50% more storage space and therefore the planned additional building was not needed. Conscience’s wisdom indeed has its place on the worksite:
”WORKING TOGETHER WITH MY PURE CONSCIENCE’S WISDOM WORKS.”
I achieved a splendid result.
The work was familiar to me in many ways at Finnmirror, but I did not promise them anything about staying with them after my studies, even though my reasoning guided me in that direction. The trip to Cologne felt more interesting in my heart, as did the train journeys to see Baeyoung.
The language course in Cologne gave me the opportunity to go abroad, and my restless conscience clearly became more confident about this new direction, even though it was a German-speaking country. I thought that I might be able to get a job and later move to another country where English is spoken, according to my dream. I trusted this guidance.
”MY AUTHENTIC VISIONS AND DREAMS WILL COME TRUE OTHERWISE MY PURE CONSCIENCE WOULD NOT GIVE THEM TO ME.”
I got a place in the language course in Cologne after the interview, as I had prepared well for it. The interviewer said that my behavior was good, and it weighed in his decision to offer me a spot.
I also got a job when Siemens interviewed me, and the interviewer positively noted my good behavior, which helped me. I had also prepared well for this interview.
I was convinced that I was on my conscience’s wisdom way. Everything felt so good in my heart.
9. MOVE TO MUNICH, BAVARIA
I am Guided by my Internal Compass and Clock
I moved to Munich and rented a room near Siemens, although I was not satisfied with it. It was really difficult to find small apartments and rooms to rent.
I visited Baeyoung in Zurich and met also her sister who is married to a Swiss photograph. They lived by the shores of Lake Zurich. They have really beautiful scenery.
On that trip, I also met another of her sisters, who is married to a Canadian diplomat. I met her and her family when they were moving to Belgrade via Zurich. Quite an international family.
And more surprises were coming.
Challenges
At work, unfortunately, things did not succeed at first at Siemens, and I wanted to resign because my work in the development department of switches did not suit me. Additionally, the room where I lived was really not a place I liked to live in. I wanted to go back to Vammala and start anew somewhere else. My reason guided me in this direction.
To my surprise, it felt to me that there was a complete turnaround on my journey, but how could my wisdom be wrong when I had acted according to my conscience? After all, I relied on this:
”WITH THE HELP OF YOUR PURE CONSCIENCE’S WISDOM, THE GREATEST TROUBLES YOU HAVE TO FACE WILL NEVER COME!”
And my conscience was not wrong, because when I was about to sign my resignation, a manager of international sales came into the room and wanted to interview me when he was told that I was a graduated electrical engineer. He had been trying for a long time to hire electrical engineers for his department without a result.
My International Career
During a good interview, also with his superior, I behaved exemplary. The sales manager also told his superior that my college certificate was good. It helped, and they offered me an engineer’s position for technical project and sales tasks in the export sales department of public telephone switches. Well, that suited me. My heart rejoiced. This was completely different work than in the development department, and it felt really good. My good behavior and conscience had achieved the best possible outcome. My wisdom way continued, and I clearly felt in my heart:
”THE PURE CONSCIENCE’S WISDOM WAY IS UNIQUE AND IT GRADUALLY OVERCOMES AND DEFEATS ALL RESISTANCE.”
WOW! What a surprising opportunity when everything felt lost. How was I just in the right place at the right time? My career could really get off to a great start, because: ”I am guided by my internal compass and clock.”
And that wasn’t all. Siemens arranged a small apartment for me in their hostel for a few months and later even a rental apartment in the difficult housing market. I got the apartment also because its owner wanted to rent it to a foreigner. He was from Italy himself. Incredible, but true, everything fell into place, and the apartment was even close to my workplace. I could walk to work! I knew in my heart that this guidance of mine had worked perfectly:
”NOTHING SPLENDID HAS EVER BEEN ACHIEVED EXCEPT BY THOSE WHO DARED BELIEVE THAT SOMETHING INSIDE OF THEM WAS SUPERIOR TO CIRCUMSTANCE.”
I knew that I had been free from all resistance, and therefore my start at Siemens’ export department had been wonderfully different.
I then gradually began to acquire more furniture for the apartment. However, first came the equipment for downhill skiing in the Alps, where I went on weekends. Baeyoung also came to visit from Zurich! It really felt like I was living my dream of moving abroad closer to Baeyoung. Additionally, I really liked Munich, as it was an interesting metropolis and offered a lot to do in my free time.
I admired the history of Munich and Bavarian culture. I got a bicycle and rode to interesting places along the bike ways by the Isar River. I also quickly found friends outside of Siemens. The move to my new home went smoothly.
Baeyoung also had a third sister and her family in Heidelberg, who is married to a US Army sergeant. Once we agreed to meet there, because her sister wanted to meet us. I heard many stories about army life.
In the evening we went to a disco, but it was actually a disco of the US Army in their housing area. Foreigners had to go through a passport check at the entrance of the disco. We passed the inspection and the disco was large and filled with soldiers and their wives. That was when I began to understand the realities of European defense security and what the Cold War between the West and the East meant for the families defending it far from their homeland.
My New Job
At Siemens, I was excited about my work. I was hardworking and learned a lot. I became an expert of new digital public EWSD telephone exchanges’ international technical export sales and projects within five years. Additionally, I started studying German and English daily in the evenings until I was satisfied with my language skills. Then I continued my studies as needed. Furthermore, I spoke these languages with my friends.
I was polite, reliable, and helpful towards my colleagues. I soon made friends among them as well. My supervisors appreciated my behavior and openness, which my conscience guided, and I received interesting tasks. They provided me with opportunities to develop myself.
I made decisions from my conscience, which clearly guided my thinking without effort and burdens. I liked it, and it felt natural and helped my career, as I trusted this encouragement in my heart:”Go forward and everything will fall into place.”
My Private Life
To my surprise, one evening, I received a phone call from Baeyoung’s sister’s husband in Belgrade. He had a spot available for a week of sailing in the Mediterranean and wanted me to come along. The boat was a large two-mast sailboat for seven people. Besides us, there would be German diplomats and one Dutch diplomat. I arranged vacation from work and traveled by train to a city called Split, where the boat was docked. The captain was a German diplomat who had completed a captain’s course remotely. And so it happened that we got caught in a Bora Bora-storm and took refuge on the forbidden island of Vis, which was a military area where Tito had once held his headquarters during World War II.The captain was detained along with a few other diplomats, and my passport was also taken away. However, they were released because they were diplomats and we had a good reason to end up on the island. I also got my passport back. The Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Belgrade had made a decision on the matter in this way. We had to leave the island in the morning and the storm had calmed down. In many ways, it was indeed a truly incredible adventure trip.
Baeyoung
Cherry Blossom
In Munich, I gradually came to the conclusion in my heart that I was meeting Baeyoung too seldom. The train trips to Zurich were wonderful, and I enjoyed them. However, I wanted this arrangement to change, so I called her one evening.
To my surprise, before I could say anything, she said that she no longer wanted to live in Zurich and wanted to move to be with her mother in Los Angeles. I suggested that she could move to Munich to be with me, to which she agreed, and we decided to get married. I felt that: ”I am guided by my inner compass and clock.”
It wasn’t so romantic on the phone, but we were happy. We agreed to take a break, and the wedding will be arranged in Vammala at my parents’ place, which then happened. The wedding celebration was held at the Ellivuori Hotel, where we had first met. Baeyoung moved to Munich, and we were happy. I clearly felt that: ”I have done the right thing, and if I continue on this track I can achieve my objective.” In addition, Baeyoung has also happily supported our moves to other countries. She has wanted to experience the world together with me.
”A LOVING PERSON LIVES IN A LOVING WORLD.”
We received an invitation to go on a visit to Belgrade, to spend Christmas at Baeyoung’s sister’s place. It even snowed. Christmas there was a wonderful experience. We played with the sister’s children and even built a snowman.
To my surprise, I even met the Finnish ambassador in the embassy’s sauna. He had graciously invited us to the sauna upon hearing about me from Baeyoung’s sister’s husband. The sauna was hot, and the ambassador was a nice man.
Experience
I traveled to Greece and Finland for client consultations when necessary and gained a lot of experience. I knew I was creating my success far into the future according to this guidance:
”CREATE YOUR OWN DESTINY YOURELF OR SOMEONE ELSE WILL.”
I had started in projects for Greece and then I was transferred to more technically demanding projects for Finland, and my experience grew.
Challenges
Once at work, when my manager lamented to me that we needed a proposal for an important Finnish customer regarding the new ISDN-exchange technology, but the technical sales support department would need months to prepare it.
I had been studying this ISDN-technology in the evenings with great interest, and I felt in my heart that it would help my career. I didn’t have to force the issue. I knew in my heart that I was in the right direction with my studies. I worked hard for it, and my conscience rejoiced in that. I was creating new opportunities for myself through my thorough preparation and diligent work.
I therefore had the chance to show what I could really do, something that others hadn’t done before. I excitedly told my manager direct from my heart that I could make the proposal in two weeks. At first, he did not believe me. He was completely surprised: “2 weeks! Impossible!” However, I was able to immediately assure him that I will contact all the necessary departments, like e.g. the development side and pricing, and the English-language proposal for the pilot project will be ready in two weeks.
I knew that my internal compass and clock would guide me in making the offer, as my conscience had directed me with the promise that I could do it in such a short time. And that’s how it turned out.
Successes
My Career’ s Turning Point
About two weeks later, I presented the offer to my supervisor. He could not believe his eyes and was really surprised and impressed. Then we took it for approval to the head of the department supporting technical sales and to his team leaders in a meeting about it. At first, they did not believe that the offer I had made was professionally done because they had not been involved in its creation. However, they were astonished when I explained its content, and all previous opposition ceased, leaving the meeting silent. The offer was accepted. It was incredible how easy it was to overcome that opposition. I felt clearly again that: “The pure conscience’s wisdom way is unique and it gradually overcomes and defeats all resistance.”
I knew that I had been free from all resistance, and that is why my day had been wonderfully different from morning to evening.
Then I made just one small change to the offer, and it was delivered to the customer, and later we received an order.
The new technical ISDN-offer I created was indeed the first of its kind in Siemens’ global sales network. Later, it was used for customers around the world in Europe, South America, and Asia. Only the customer’s name and prices were changed.
I had overcome all resistance to my project because I followed my conscience from the beginning. I achieved a splendid result.
This project had a really positive impact on my future at Siemens. It also proved this guidance of mine:
”THE RIGHT KNOWLEDGE AND WISDOM TOGETHER WITH A PURE CONSCIENCEARE THE WAY TOWARDS A GOOD AND HAPPY FUTURE.”
My conscience-led guidance also led to good self-confidence:
”NOTHING BOOSTS SELF-RESPECT AND SELF-CONFIDENCE LIKE GOOD DEEDS AND ACHIEVEMENTS.”
Doors Opened
Making this difficult ISDN-proposal guided by my conscience opened doors for my success in Siemens’s global sales network.
My colleagues were amazed when they read the proposal I made and its success. I knew I could realize my childhood’s dream of living in a warm English-speaking country.
Furthermore, the Siemens’ sales manager in Finland wanted me to visit Lahti Telephone Company to give a presentation on ISDN-technology in exchanges.
I flew to Helsinki, rented a car, and drove with the sales manager and another colleague from the sales department to Lahti. My presentation went well, and my colleagues took the train back to Helsinki. I enjoyed driving to my old hometown of Vammala for the weekend to visit my parents and old friends.
There I went with my twin brother and one of our friends first to the bar of the Ellivuori Hotel for a moment and then to a nearby beautiful island owned by our family by rowing boat to have a sauna bath in the summer cabin. It was wonderful to enjoy the summer of Finland, but my heart was in Munich and in my new future according to this saying:
”I HAVE THE RIGHT VISION THAT WINS ALL OTHER VISIONS.”
Siemens gave me opportunities that I had nowhere else.
Additionally, this next guidance has worked when I have prepared myself for new opportunities:
”MY BEHAVIOR AND DILIGENT WORK TOGETHER WITH MY PURE CONSCIENCE WILL CREATE MY PREPARATION FOR OPPORTUNITIES, WHICH WILL GIVE ME A NEW, BETTER, AND HEALTHIER LIFE.”
On another visit to Helsinki, the head of Siemens’ telephone exchange division invited me to his home for a sauna bath along with the sales manager. I was offered food and drink, and it was fun. He apparently observed my behavior in this situation when offering me beers, but my behavior was at its best.
In the sauna, he finally told me, to my surprise, that they needed a new sales manager and offered it to me because the then-sales manager, who was sitting next to me, had decided to retire. The sales manager also recommended me for the position. However, I did not agree to it, even though my reason told me that this was a good future for me.
I had a dream in my heart to move to another country and experience the world to enrich our lives together with Baeyoung. She has many relatives in Europe, Asia, and the USA, whom we gladly visit. So, I had a vision of the world in my heart:
”YOUR BEST VISION IS AUTHENTIC, HONEST, AND RELIABLE.”
